so much for the governments claim that the new parliament would be a nicer place. not that it matters much. what i find amusing is the new speaker bishop allowing the abbott to call the opposition leader 'electricity bill' this would have been considered out of order in the last parliament, but the bishop says its OK now. so there's one lie done and dusted.
anyway this of course means (in the pursuit of fairness) that the PM can be addressed in any way one see's fit. will bill come out later and call him mono-tone or dead-zone tone ? Travel Allowance Tone sounds OK doesn't it ? does anyone have any suggestions for bill to use ? will they know him as Kill Bill in three or so years time when he puts a boot to coppertones backside ?

LABOR'S Tony Burke has compared Bronwyn Bishop to an evil character from Harry Potter as she was today elected Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Mr Burke, who is Labor's tactics chief, said the return of Parliament was like the first day back at school and a scene from Harry Potter where the good headmaster Dumbledore was gone and "they return to Hogwarts and Dolores Umbridge is running the school".
So this is ok?

yes, the nasties are drunk with power now. pity for them really, because it will cripple them when they go back to opposition.

Tony Abbott: I want to say that we have made a good start, that the adults are back in charge and that strong, stable, methodical and purposeful government is once more the rule in our national capital”.
The mature adult thing didn't last long. Name calling, more what you would expect school kids to bicker about.
The acrimonious parliamentary debate, which was resolved along party lines, suggested the 44th Parliament has begun with an atmosphere that is little better than the dysfunctional tone associated with the 43rd Parliament.
