Politifact states that Abbotts promise of power prices being reduced was opinion......not fact.
When the Carbon Tax was introduced power companies who had been sold off to the private sector and no longer government owned could much like petrrol stations, charge what they please and did.
The coalition at the time blamed the tax rather than those companie.
It can go either way, the Liberals can blame the power companies for the prices not going down and thus be hyppcrits or the power companies will reduce them as a favour to a government that got rid of a tax that effected them.

I saw the guy from the ACCC stating that prices will come down..... I like to believe he is right

most think they wont come down. but i dont care about that anyway, i want to pay. its cheap , a small price to pay. i also think the targets should be raised to a realistic level , increased to the point where they really need to be. but you have to start somewhere.
