Political viewsHolbrook occasionally criticized the politicization of religion.[45] He was a registered independent, but leaned towards the liberal end of the U.S. political spectrum.[46] He criticized the Republican Party while Barack Obama was in office.[46]
In 2016, he castigated then-Republican-candidate Donald Trump for not having "the maturity to run the country".[14] Holbrook praised Senator Bernie Sanders as the only politician who does not "say what they think might get them elected" and praised his honesty.[47] In 2017, Holbrook again criticized President Trump, saying, "We have [Trump] who has been elected president now who is upending and destroying a great many of our American values...he's trying to distort the American dream, which he's doing every hour of the day."[48] Holbrook opposed President Trump's immigration ban and praised protests against the ban.[48]

I somehow missed the passing of another great name from the past......Cloris Leachman
died last week at the magnificent age of 94.
According to the news, she kept working well into her 90s and there are two films made in 2019 and 2020 (yet to be released) that she worked in. Amazing woman (and a resounding endorsement of vegetarianism)!!
