It gets better everyday 🙂
THE entire NBN Co board has reportedly submitted their resignations to Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
The resignations have yet to be accepted by the minister, Fairfax Media reports, and a decision is to be made at a cabinet meeting in early October.
Mr Turnbull hinted in July, after NBN Co chief executive Mike Quigley quit, that he may sack board members from the organisation responsible for the national broadband network.
The coalition has blamed the board and executive team for massive cost blowouts, timetable delays and for contractors losing money.
Mr Turnbull said after the election that former Telstra boss Ziggy Switkowski would be well qualified for the role of NBN Co chairman.
The coalition's vastly different plan for the network would switch from the previous Labor government's fibre-to-the-home scheme to a cheaper fibre-to-the-node option.

Just think , if Labor had have actually debated some of the issues instead of gagging debate there would be no need hack out all the expensive rot.
I have no doubt that Labor will be repaid in the same way as far as the gag is concerned.
The chbickens have come home to roost
they didn't actually gag debate, having something repeated over and over is not debate. it was simple interference as they ran on every policy. the then opposition didn't debate anything, they sneered knowing that it was more effective tied in with the newspaper smear campaign.

Why do you have such a huge case of sour grapes?
The NBN Co. is the one withe sour grapes
Why do you hold such a deep hatred for something that offers so much for so many?
Dont mistake disagreement for hatred, the rest of the offer is just smoke and mirrors and not to so many as they would have you believe
How does Australia having a first class broadband network adversely affect you?
What I disagree with is the monopoly that the Labor NBN has tried to force on EVERYONE. I have lived in a dictatorship and I have no desire to live in one again
Why the glee over such a backward step?
Yes I am happy that there are now adults in decision making roles, the step is not backward but a foward one in stemming the march of socialistic ideas and the vice grip of the militant unions that control the previous government.

No, you are the one dancing with joy like a bully child that just stole another kids ice cream, not the board of NBN Co who you seem to mistake as a branch of the Labor Party.
The NBN Co board have always appeared professional, never demonstrating sour grapes even when under attack.
What a pathetic unwarranted attack to compare Labor and NBN Co to a dictatorship. Just proves how clueless you really are in regards to our Telco sector. It's a shame you didn't leave your hatred behind when you came here, if you really did leave behind a dictator.
Which militant unions played any part in the NBN roll out? The roll out was tendered out to private companies who hired contractors, which is the opposite approach that would be taken by government under a vice grip of militant unionists.
You have done nothing but slander all those involved with NBN Co since you started commenting about it, without ever having read any of the reports or looking at any of the reasons for the decision to build it.

If you really did leave a true dictatorship behind you would know that nothing like that is occuring in Australia.
The NBN board members quit because they don't want to be part of the LNP's NBN project.... seems a wise move.

You and every one else is entitled to your/their opinion.
I have voiced my opinion and the reasons for that opinion.
You may not agree but legislating against any competition to the NBN Co. and forcing everyone to have no other choice but the NBN is very dictator like and undemocratic.
As far as Union control of the Labor party goes, both the Labor party and the unions acknowledge the relationship.

There are no -'dictators' or a 'dictatorship' in Australia.

People in this country now are 'forced' to use Telstra as their service provider, as there is no competition to choose from in their areas.. how is that any different?

Nope, you've done a lot of hissing, name calling and snarling but you've offered no logical reasons.
You might not be aware but NBN Co does not sell any retail products. They are a wholesale only supplier. Did you ever hear of Telecom? The company that became Telstra, the monopoly provider for many years. People had no choice of providers when they were the only company in the market.

am*3 lets hope that there are no sinister motives for the retirement of the board of directors.
The resignations should not be accepted until the resigning members have been scrutinised and cleared.

In the days of Telecom there was no legistation to say that someone else could not set up shop in competition toTelecom.
