I made my Christmas puddings today, so the whole house smells Christmassy. In our family we do a secret Santa among the adults and I'm still waiting for DD to do the draw. The kids - 1 grandchild and 5 (almost 6) great grandies - are scattered accross Queensland and NT so it's easier to send money to their mums and let them buy suitable presents.

i love christmas , looking forward to the OH putting up the lights in a few weeks, not sure if he will though as it is a big job.
Christmas pudding yum, i generally buy ours from one of the local community groups that make them here.

I usually buy the cake the same way, but it's become a kind of tradition for Gran to make the puddings and it's actually much easier than people think - specially now I've discovered you can cook them in the slow cooker. We are having our family gatherng at DDs house on Boxing Day so I think Mr Elephant and I might let our heads go and do Christmas dinner at a restaurant this year - maybe one ofour local wineries.

I am nearly done.........................only one son to buy for............and he is a pain...........he has EVERYTHING !
We started our Christmas lights today............that takes about three weeks.
We have everyone here for Christmas Day.................some for lunch........some for tea............(some for both)
I have a few containers with costumes in it that we get out after lunch.............I buy silly stuff to put in all year..................like eyebrows and silly wigs.
Then we usually have some sort of water fight............water bombs or water pistols.
I LOVE Christmas.

Some years back I lived over the road from a guy who was a window dresser for David Jones.
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, he and his partner would decorate the outside of their house and it would end up looking like a giant Christmas tree - branches, baubles, lights, snow, everything. It was magnificent.

I love the lights , we put them up inside and out . we use a mixture of powered and solar.
Each year we buy something different to put up outside.
