I saw your post on the thread about christmas thread but didn't want to hijack it..... have you been making those fabric balls i gave you the links for?
can i see a pic?

In the morning I'll post the pic Pepe, our camera battery is flat. I've been using foam balls, ribbons, cutting into them and pushing the fabric tight inside. Took me a while to get the gist of it, a few mishaps, but all in all, now working so well, thanking you.

It's very addictive too ... the way this is going, I'm hoping to have enough to decorate two really big white trees just with those and putting the lighted garlands on as backup.

This is what I have been making Pepe and they are all much the same. I'm about to change the system I've been using though because they could be so much better.
Lots of lace and pearly headed pins would be better and prettier I think.
I took the photograph on the granite benchtop which has given a mirror image ..

thats great! you have done really well and i love the colours!
in my experience its all trial and error until you find the way you are most confident with - they are like crepes and pancakes - the first couple are usually not quite how you want them lol
i have seen some really pretty lace ones, and the lace hides a multitude of sins too, far better than the cord.
i'm not a lacey frilly type so if i'm making them for me i use cord or twine.

That looks good Tas.
I made a bigger one of those balls once as a hot air balloon for a child's mobile. With a ribbons attaching a little basket underneath and little felt mice in the basket (can't stand real mice but it is strange toy mice seem quite acceptable).

I'd love a granite benchtop 🙂
