In Charles Kingsley's The Water Babies there was a character called Mrs Do-As-You-Would-Be-Done-By and another called Mrs Be-Done-By-As-You-Did. The first was a sweet, motherly old lady, the second, you really didn't want to meet.(unless you'd been very good)
