i guess you didn't even read it
it says:
The Nationals, along with the Liberals and Labor, have today failed to support the Australian Greens’ Senate motion calling for the Liverpool Plains to be off limits to CSG and coal, including the Shenhua Watermark mine.

Barnaby has a conflict of interest after accepting the wedding holiday from the miners.
He is not doing his job as either agriculture minister or for his electorate.
Labor should be ashamed for voting with the Libs on this.
The Nats should be most ashamed of all for their childish run and hide escapades.

Gleee I posted that here because earlier on pimpy said somewhere that Barnaby Joyce had promised them it wouldn't go ahead

Our Labour candidate has already told us that Labour supports mining.
I don't know what else to do. I hate politics, I never wanted to be part of any of the political fights debates on here. I liked living in my little bubble of ignorance. I figured I can't change anything so why get upset about it. But this issue upsets me. There is no one side of politics to blame. All sides are equally responsible.
What really has me disheartened today is the lack of support from other Australians. So many people sit and tuttut about how dreadful it is but no-one will actually DO anything to stand up and be counted. I just don't know what else I can do. This mine will go ahead. Then the BHP mine will go in, then Santos will move in on to the plains with CSG. Mostly I just want to sit and cry. I want to give in, give up but that's not fair to the others who are still fighting. I hope they are having better luck than me with getting people to listen.

He said there will be no mine on the black soil plains.
Shenhuas lease is on the ridges, not the black soil.

Deb, just curious, have you been following any of this on twitter?

OK sorry pimpy the mine is so big it's going to effect the black soil isn't it?
but I guess that wasn't a 'total" untruth from him then

He'll say anything to the locals and laugh it off as soon as he walks away.
When he started out he put up a bit of a fight for a few issues but these days he's just a sloshed game playing machine man.
He only moved to the area to beat Tony Windsor, who decided to retire anyway.
I wonder if the people will vote him in again if he fails to stop the mine going ahead.

I follow a few people who are against the Liverpool mine and they often retweet various articles that end up on my page
