I have to do a menu for a fund raiser. I have to do it as a Soup Kitchen and I need to get ideas for the different types of soups that we can serve.

We like Cauliflower soup....and caulis are cheap at this time of the year.
If you want to let your hair down the Lemon Chicken and Rice soup on the Coles website is very yummy.

I make a yummy sweet potato soup. It basically a pumpkin soup recipe to which I add some chilli and then a good dollop of peanut butter. It is delicious.

I love all soups! Okay, not all, cold soups dont float my boat.
There used to be a great recipe on the back of the Mackenzies red lentils pack.
Bacon and lentil soup, very much like pea and ham but less chalky/starchy??
These days I prefer the creamy varieties. The chunky ones can need careful dishing up...you end up with all stock left or chunks and no liquid.

Thanks for that pct..I have tried this- the cream was almost over the top for me, very rich and decadent!
For me, I would omit adding the cream to the soup when cooking, and only add a swirl in the bowl before serving...I would add twigs of rosemary when cooking the cauliflower, and then remove them before putting the cauli and stock in the food processor...really brings out the creaminess in the cauli..Also, I love rosemary- its so underrated/ underused..

I love soup- especially as a meal...really delicious, and can be cooked in advance, frozen for the future, and you can use up all the vegies at once...
Nice to read you like rosemary too - I have grown it in every place I have lived- really hardy (even my neglect cant kill it, lol)..I made some flatbreads yesterday- really quick, simple and put some in the mix..the kitchen smelt like heaven..
