Talk about life being turned upside down!
Hubby works in hospitality and all of the permanent staff where he works have been "stood down" until this is over - he's still employed, but once his paid leave runs out in a few days, he will be unpaid and we will be down to whatever income I am able to bring in through my online sales.
Had to tell the rental agent that we literally cannot afford the rent after this Friday.
Had to tell the Electricity company that we cannot afford their last bill due in April.
Our son is in Year 12 and already these last few weeks have been disruptive and stressful for the kids - no idea if they will even be able to write their mid-year exams, let alone their finals.
On the plus side, all this sitting around at home means less chance of catching the **bleep** thing and we get to spend more time with our rescue dog.
Please stay safe and well everyone - don't take any chances with your health!

Some of us like to look our best while sitting at home watching TV.

Here's a link if anyone in the household wants to apply for the Centrelink payment (Jobseeker Payment) for those who are stood down from their employment because of the Coronavirus situation.
I believe you can still access the payment, if the employee is "downgraded" to casual too, although there is a $ limit on the employee's income for this scenario and I don't think accessing leave entitlements at the same time is compatible with the payment either.
You just create a MyGov account online www.my.gov.au and link it up with the Centrelink module when you get in, and follow the steps on screen to apply for a payment.
If you know all about it, or this post is irrelevant, just ignore as I'm otherwise just demonstrating how much I know about Centrelink payments!):smileylol:

You could always open another ID and use the free listings on that.
Damn, yeah I just realised that. Why don't they allow auctions in stores? Seems a bit silly because they're restricting activity and sales. I've just found BIN dead. Maybe it's the Australian way, to gamble a bit on an auction, or the thrill of the chase lol Problem is I have a huge amount of stuff I wanted to auction. How many ID's can I have? 😂
I suggest lobby Ebay for auction support in stores - I suspect not allowed bcause ebay wants a meaningful cut , so I suggest propose store auctions start at 30 % or 50% of same or similar buy-it-now store item , then everyone will be a winner

I suggest the mods leave selling related threads in selling where they belong. Moving this thread here smacks of bot decisions rather than those of the people tasked with monitoring the boards.
Edit: As evinced by the responses since this thread was moved.

Getting sales is all well and good, but the PO is flat out, my ebay purchase is still stuck somewhere about 6 days late (so far)

My last purchase arrived next day. Express, as advertised.
My point is that a mod decided that covid was the keyword and moved this thread into the sewer rather than leaving it where it was posted, and relevant.
