I just saw this carp on the local news.... IMHO the female figure looks just like the one on any public toilet door! My daughter commented that a short skirt could be offensive to Muslim women & that she rarely wears skirts or dresses.

In all honesty I've never really had a thought about the "walk" & "don't walk" signals. It's just a stick figure to me! Green or red. I do obey the signals - but many don't; So I think all is a moot point anyway!

If you listen to them, when it's time to walk,  they say   " dik, dik, dik, dik, dik.............."
