For the over 50's and under just in case I upset someone !

Do you think you have grown older gradually or did some things just seem to happen overnight?

Talking about aches and pains, flexibility, fitness etc.

and the worst thing I have found as I get older is the recovery time increases for any injury or mishap. things that I recovered from when I was in a week now take months]:)

That is nothing more accelerating and free to the spirit then when you open the throttle wide and the engine roars into life.

They might prefer her sitting boringly safely in an armchair, no chance then of going splat on the road if she has a bike accident.

Good on her.. hope she has many more years to come to enjoy herself.

yes it may be the spat issue they are concerned about.

but if its a choice of doing what I want and being happy with a sudden spat at the end or sitting forever in a nursing home not being able to do simple things like wiping my own bum or feeding myself. guess which one I would prefer.

well, im 45. :-x

I noticed a decrease in my *ability* prob in the last 3yrs. I have gained weight (middddddle aged spread no doubt!!) LOL

Things i used to be  fastidious about, no longer seem inportant to me (scrubbing the shower) *sigh* im just tooooooooo tired all the time after my working week.
(so i got a cleaner! LOL)

I had to get glasses this year! Hate hate hate them, but cant see well without them.

I groan, moan, ache and complain... and thats just to get up off the lounge!! haha

I guess, the biggest thing for me now, is driving. I *was* an excellent driver. (pat self on the back!) Now, i find i seem to be losing my excellent driving skills. I will avoid driving if i can, avoid going into town if i can. Driving at night is almost a no-go these days, just too hard for me to see. Driving at 50kms used to annoy the bejesus outta me, now its a godsend! LOL

My memory is shot to pieces. (this does concern me as father had Dementia), least i still know the name of my children. Its just getting the name to the right face, thats the issue at hand! 😉 **cheeky smirk**

If i get another 30-40yrs, i will be satisfied.  🙂

Interesting article in the SMH today it says Rather than working out BMI, Mosley recommends measuring your waist around the belly button, now considered by some health professionals to be a better indicator of a healthy weight. "Your waist measurement should be no more than half your height. Men tend to go by their trouser size, which is wrong – it's generally smaller than your actual waist."

Im not close to 50 yet but i have aged 😞

3 years ago i fractured my tailbone and that was the downfall of me.

Its only been in the last week or two that i am finally starting to feel less pain.

Before that, i was in constant agony

It happened very gradually for me. I'm over 50 and starting to feel blah but that's because I've just been diagnosed with diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis.  But I can manage or reverse these conditions luckily.

I look very young for my age (everyone looks shocked when I tell them how old I am, they say I look anywhere from 35 to 40). I think it helps I'm young at heart too. I don't have any wrinkles but I've noticed I'm starting to lose that defined chin. The biggest change is watching my boobs fall. That seemed to happen overnight. They're not down to my knees yet but they fail the pencil test. :^O

I'm male but I'll have a go.

Hold a pencil horizontally under boob.

If pencil drops(when you let go) then you are still on terra firma.

If pencil goes nowhere then odds are you are en route to free fall:-(
