For those that complain against social isolation and other measures to contain coronavirus citing relatively low casualty rates , and so seeking reducing or removing mitigation social conditions, Ask yourself this : without the current containment measures how many extra cases would they be ? would our hospital system be overwhelmed and what would be the consequences , and would this result in proportionally many more severe cases, and so many more deaths . Think of those countries who did not respond quick enough. and ask yourself where you would rather live at this time .

We may have to live with it like we live with other infections, like the common cold. the 'flu, pneumonia.
Like we're living with cancer, obesity, heart disease, to name a few. Which are killing a lot more of our population annually than COVID-19.
None are contagious, so closing economy would be irrelevant. Can you imagine what the death rate would be without going into lock down?.

That's interesting, both cancer and heart disease have exactly the same number for weekly deaths. 2017

Or 35 and 38.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Yes, I imagine death from these 2 diseases are pretty stable, they are 2 major causes of death, including death of old people.
This is interesting, estimate of what would happen if we did not lock down, based on UK where they were somewhat late with taking precautions, and were talking about creating herd immunity.
