OOHhhhh my poor Timmy
Former first bloke Tim Mathieson urged to explain himself over ‘bang’ phone rant

VICTORIA’S Attorney-General Robert Clark has called on Tim Mathieson to explain himself after the former First Bloke left an angry message on Victorian Premier Denis Napthine’s electorate office phone.
Mr Mathieson, the partner of former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, is understood to have left the message on June 11 after he was mentioned in Victorian Parliament during a debate about the now suspended MP Geoff Shaw.
Part of the message said: “So, if he mentions the prime minister’s partner one more time, one more time, there will be a legal action against Denis the vet.
“You hear me? One more time against the ex-Prime Minister’s partner there will be a lawsuit against him so long — I am not, I am not, anything to do with Geoff Shaw, in any way shape or form. So, if he mentions me one more time, I am telling you right now. OK? That’s it. Bang!”
Mr Clark said that if Mr Mathieson did leave the message he must explain himself.
“Debates in the Parliament are free ranging and people are fully entitled to put the point of view and the materials before the house that they wish to,” Mr Clark said.
“If this phone message was left by Mr Mathieson, he needs to explain himself.”
Reports of the message circulated in Canberra last week, with Liberal staffers shocked that Mr Mathieson would threaten to sue the Premier.
Three years ago, Ms Gillard wrote a personal cheque for $4243 to repay the entitlements after Mr Mathieson used the Prime Minister’s taxpayer-funded car to sell shampoo and hair products.
On June 11, the same day that Mr Mathieson left the message, Dr Napthine had referred to the incident in Victorian Parliament.

I don't blame him, what's he got to do with Geoff Shaw? nothing! so he shouldn'tve even been mentioned
there are lots of fun and games going on in Vic parliament this year. An election year too. Dennis Napthine was never voted in BTW, the LNP backstabbed Ted Ballieau over Geoff Shaw. Dirty deeds done dirt cheap I suspect, all to garner support fom this one man show of corruption

Is this a case of a family thing though?
It's about an alleged telephone call.
Can't see why anyone would be exempt from explaining such a call.
He was tied to a PM, he didn't object to the beneifits of that
All high profile people now and in the past have always been subject to public comment and scrutiny

he had absolutley nothing to do with Geoff Shaw, so he should not have even been mentioned in the first place
& I think he's quite within his rights to make that phone call, as nothing going on in Vic parliament has anything to do with him at all

People make telephone calls every day...it is WHO made this call that is the point. If it was Mr Nobody that made this it would not made the news.
I agree wholeheartedly, and once you have your 15 minutes of fame, you need to be conscious of everything you do as it is and will be scrutinized.
He didn't shun the lifestyle available to him because of his position, he lapped up the benefits

but he is not Geoff Shaw and was never an MP nor a suspended MP
he also didn't try to do deals with other MP's over his wrong doings

What a tool. That could be construed as a death threat.
He's not the PM's partner anyway. He's the ex-ex PM's partner.
