I went to 7-Eleven tonight to get a bite to eat, grabbed a Four'n Twenty pie and gosh it was halal.
Traitors! How can they do this?
I put it back in the warmer then drove to a local Italian restaurant and we had pasta carbonara.

All cattle in Australia are stunned before slaughter.
I researched, then I posted all of the RSPCA article, not just a select bit.
The majority of animals in Au are stunned. happy now?
perhaps you might adjust your post.

That's right, and it gets done wrong sometimes and the animal writhes or in some cases runs.

In an ideal world, we wouldn't kill any animals..................

Is it true that animals are only stunned because if they are frightened and panicked when they are killed it makes the meat tougher?

i still think it is a good idea to research
before posting 'informative' comments.

un-stunned slaughter.

i have never heard of such a thing.
australia should follow those countries
where non-stunning is banned.
we seem to be behind the rest of the world
in so many things..

No idea.
I do know that when I was a child, all our meat was killed on the farm. No stunning was done, usually a bullet was used.................. or an axe for chickens. 😞

It was just a conversation I was eavesdropping on when I was having my hair cut once at a local unisex salon. The local butcher was having a cut. He was good friends with the barber.
That sounds a bit he said she said they said. The butcher said that they could always tell when the beef had been badly slaughtered.

Me too Katy. I hate to see them being transported in trucks too but I know it's essential. It's just so sad to see.
