I went to 7-Eleven tonight to get a bite to eat, grabbed a Four'n Twenty pie and gosh it was halal.
Traitors! How can they do this?
I put it back in the warmer then drove to a local Italian restaurant and we had pasta carbonara.

We had Pasta Carbonara?
Were you going to both share the pie?
Did you check out the restaurant and suss out whether they served Muslims? We all know that Muslims don't eat pasta right? They only eat cattle facing towards Mecca and the cow has to die a horrible death, right?

How can an Aussie meat pie be halal? Do you think they are just lying to us? How do we know? People will say anything to sell us their **bleep**. Just look at our politicians, for instance

I said, I grabbed the pie. The others were going to have something else but we walked out spending ZERO
Why would we share a pie, how stupid and tight do you think we are?
Pasta carbonara contains bacon so it is not halal and the restaurant owners are Italian and many of their dishes contain ham and bacon so the kitchen is haram for muslims.

You've really worked out how to avoid Muslims then UFO. Stick to Italian restaurants and McDonalds. They serve bacon too.

I'm only going to buy steak and bacon pies from now on. 😉
Maybe cheese and bacon?
What's wrong with a good old ham, cheese, and tomato sandwich anyway? Stuff their pies. 😉

When I think about it, what is the percentage of customers for Four'n Twenty pies who are Muslim?
What is the percentage of customers for said pies who would be offended by the halal cert and refuse to buy them?
Muslims are a small minority here in Australia. Four'n Twenty are risking losing more customers than they stand to gain.
or maybe they are relying on the old Aussie attitude of, "don't care, don't give a bleep"?
Like any certification of produce by an outside non-govt agency, it is prone to fraudulence. If a man named Hal (first name) Allen (last name) slaughtered a cow, then it could be claimed that the meat is slaughtered by Hal Al method.

Does it taste any different?

No, it doesn't taste any different, but that's not the point. See the vid i linked to above.
