I understand where you are coming from.
But here is the thing, our government now and in the past, is made up of reasonably intelligent people (on the whole). They carefully monitor immigration, and will not allow the numbers of any one demographic to swell to such numbers where they will be able to dominate in the manner in which you describe.
They are educated sufficiently to evaluate the repercussions of introducing a law such as sharia, either on its own or in conjunction with our own to the extent that it will erode the values provide the foundations for our existing laws. I am thinking here in the situations of where some aboriginal communities have been able to operate according to aboriginal law as far as disciplining their own, but even that was never to the extent that it displaced the main laws of society. It was mainly handling minor offences that affected only their communities - like maybe swiping something smallish from someone within their community, an elder may ask if they could discipline them according to aboriginal custom rather than through the english court system.
Should they (or anyone) challenge democracy, or treat another person in a manner that is against our laws, they will be penalised under our law. Now the gov MAY consider allowing for minor laws/customs within their communities that do not interfere with the integrity of our own, but if they cut off their own son's hand, or stone their wife (far less someone outside their community) they will be accountable to our law.
I acknowlege that we can only limit immigration. we cannot limit the number of offspring, so I think you may be thinking of subsequent generations where the numbers may well increase beyond what can be controlled, or perhaps, just the numbers of people who may be attracted to that religion and join/convert - or maybe even that as we become desensitised through continual exposure to their presence and customs that we may be more willing to accept changes that go against what were our core values - you are against a shift in those core values.
I think that your next thought is that, any one of the above may gain sufficient numbers and or positions in society that they will be able to enter government and make the changes to sharia law from within

Yes exactly, at the moment they are screaming for separate toilets, separate transport, separate swimming pools, separate prostitutes, separate foods, separate drinks, separate prayer rooms, separate laws, separate courts, separate finance, BASICALLY this is ISLAMIC APARTHEID. The appeasers have already bowed down to these demands but once their population is over 50% infidels will have to convert or be beheaded.
