Stealing the idea from icy
What gadget you thought was stupid/useless until you used one?
For me its a t-shirt folding board, now that I work in a clothing retailer I really appreciate having something that folds the t-shirts exactly the same

In a former life, I ironed the 7 measured creases required in a sailors bell bottoms. We progressed to "whites" which also needed measured creases in the starched fabric.
I haven't ironed my linen shirts for a while. I'm waiting for the ironing basket to fill up a bit more before the justification of pulling the ironing board out and warming up the iron. Then I'll have to dampen the starched fabrics to proceed.

The fingertip vibrating touch massager. Guaranteed to relieve the stress from folding and/or ironing clothes. Hmmmmmmm....

The only things I really iron are hubby's shirts, and I take great pride in them. We often joke around that he clinched a certain deal or got a certain contract because of his beautifully ironed shirt
Every now and again I have to iron a work skirt for myself or a blouse, but I conciously buy easy-care fabrics that don't need ironing. Sometimes I make a mistake lol.
I think there are better uses for a man than to make him iron
ya got that right, for sure!! lolol!!
stuff*books, your way is very reminiscent of what my momma did when my da was in the usa air force.she continued to roll his tshirts and underwear until the day she died. i had to teach my stepmonster how to do it RIGHT! 🙂

Agree pink budgie. We have an old car and I wish for electric windows everytime I drive it as the knob falls off as I'm winding and I bash my knuckles.
It would be handy too when the windows are all fogged up to be able to do a quick reveal and see all the traffic through the passenger window

So you don't get asked to put them in a spoiler box in the photo thread then, Joe?

The year after my heart transplant, the war department returned to college to obtain her BSN.........she would bring home baskets of her classmates' clothing for me to iron, at 50 cents per item........unfortunately, none of the garments were particularly titillating........no scarlet teddies or see-through nighties.......
