Ashers Bakery lose 'gay cake' case: 'We will not be closing down, we have not done anything wrong' says boss Ashers bakery "unlawfully discriminated on the grounds of sexual orientation"

A Christian-run bakery which refused to make a cake bearing a pro-gay marriage slogan has been found guilty of discrimination after a landmark legal action at Belfast County Court.

The family-run bakery, which delivers across the UK and Ireland, turned down the request for a cake with an image of Sesame Street puppets Bert and Ernie below the motto Support Gay Marriage.

I wanna know when you know a cake is gay, as the title suggests.

Isn't it the cake's business and no-one else's?

what would happen if a bakery was asked to

make a cake with 'say no to gay marriage'.

would they have the right to refuse?

if they refused service from the start.

i'd  assume it would be the same as anything

else?  disney characters?  hopefully most cake

decorators are aware of copyright.

I think this case has set a precedent of forcing business people to go against their religious convictions - I also think the people who sued for discrimination need to get a life.

Vote with your dollars and word of mouth instead of frivilous lawsuits.

Yes that is what they are trying so hard to do, hence the gay rights movement and anti-discimination  laws. It would not be frivolous to them I don't think.
