About 25deg here today, sunny & calm (bit of humidity though). Great weather to be out and about.

rosie - I saw some lovely lavender plants at Bunnings the other day. Was in the garden part at 6pm, first night the store to close at 7pm, but they still had the timer on for the sprinklers in the garden part at 6 pm.. crazy, had to leave was too wet out there.

August is usually our hottest month, but it barely reached 30c . I'd say it was the nicest August I've ever seen. I wish I owned a boat to fully enjoy it, but owning a boat is practically a full time job to maintain, clean...not to mention the ton of money it costs. Come to think of it...summers over and I never got my fishing license! We can only fish during a certain time and they have to be larger than a certain (I think 28 inches for striped bass).
I just googled...season ends Dec 15, though I think it's too late for a license. Limit of 2 and you can fish right from the beach.
