Good morning all ... ![]()
What a great weekend it has been and hoping that has been the same for everyone here? xx
Lots of preparations going on here for the event next weekend at our house, thankfully, it only occurs once a year but it's so nice to have everyone together, they all bring afternoon tea and it's all over by 4pm ...
.. might put a picture up later when it's all finished.
Back later xx

Joe on the gold coast about 8 years ago it coast us $2500 to have to big gums trees taken out.
5 years ago $800 to have a massive gum tree thinned out.
We always used the same guy, as he wood also cut up the branches for our fire.
I had a large tree branch come down in a storm about 3 years ago and he came around and cut it up and took down the tree for $700, the insurance paid for that one.
BUT the insurance would not pay to take out the stump ???? how dumb is that
He felt sorry for me and did that for nothing.
Could not believe how he used to go up these HUGE gum trees, it was great to watch.

theyre pretty efficient arent they lion
i should take a pic of the pepper tree, its a monster
the previous owner chopped it half way down at one point, shoulda kept going and killed it
because of that it got busher and bushier, a real chore pruning it, you'd get around it so you could walk under
then it seems like its due for another, very fast growing
be glad to see the arrrs end of the thing coz it would be a fire hazzard too
not sure why the ins companies wont do tree stumps (they must have the reasons in very very small print)
well i glued in a PVC fitting for the tap, luckily that was the only prob, will need to wait untill it cures
might put a steel tube for support this time as the 4 x 4 timber broke in half
