As a croweater from way back I,m hoping for a Crows victory.
One of the telly stations here in S.A. ran a repeat of the Crows last grand final win from 20 years ago. What struck me was the depth of talent in that old team. It was definately a dream team. Players included Andrew McCleod, Nigel Smart, Shaun Renn, Andrew Jarmen, Mark Bickley and a whole host of other superstars. Missing from the team due to injury where Tony Modra and Mark Rouchuito. ( appologies for any spelling mistakes ) Malcolm Blight in the coaching box also sprung a few supprises that helped turn the game when the Crows had been trailing for two quaters.
Sure the Crows have a couple of players that can turn on the magic now in Eddy Betts and big Tex, but I dont see the same depth of talent right through the team.
The Crows play a similar style of footy to the Giants. They rely on a free flowing, running game. They are probably better in a scramble than the Giants, but if Richmond can turn the game into a tight scramble on the ground and clog up the Crows running game, they could win.
