I though the flaming arrow used at Barcelona in 1992 was a pretty good spectacle but it was definitely outdone by Sydney 2000's cauldron.

What an amazing sight! Best Games ever!

Weren't we so lucky to have the Olympics in 2000, before all the sept 11 stuff & worldwide terrorism started happening.

I realise there was terrorism at the 1972 olympics but 2000 seems to have been in a little pocket of calm.
