Of the 900,000 refugees who entered Europe last year most were received –scared, soaked and travelling in rickety boats – by those who live on the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. And have been doing in for many years, as has Italy. In meanwhile we consider the handful who came here as a disaster. We should be ashamed

Let's not forget the Sri Lankans who fled a war that had ceased in their country. Ain't it funny how when they set out on the boat trip they were Sri Lankan but when they arrived they had become Tamils. The war in their country was based on difference and that equals RACISM. These people have the hide to call us racist. It is now safe for all Sri Lankans/Tamils to return to their island and clean up the mess.

I still don't get what we have against the Syrian people that we're bombing their country to smithereens, forcing them to leave like this
I thought we were supposed to be going after ISIS
I hope the Greeks do win the Nobel Peace Prize Nova, they're doing the best they can in an inhumane situation

Your son could volunteer his time without leaving our shores.
Becoming a volunteering at Blind Welfare Association will provide our members with greater independence and quality of life, but a volunteer will experience great benefits as well.
