There seem to be many sites dealing with your problem
many of them advise using some anti malware prog as to do the removal manually is a bit involved.

My browser is back to google but when I open a new tab I get a message :
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at chrome://quick_start/content/index.html.
Can this be fixed? Also, I don't use chrome - I use Firefox.
Thanks,
Di

Hi kilroy,
It took me a loooooooooong time to get rid of it too. I went through every file that was dated 17 June 2015 and deleted what I didn't know what it was without killing my machine.
I will be much more careful about I download in the future.
Cheers,

Hi sandy,
From memory a system restore doesn't get rid of the malware.
My anti virus and malware programme I pay for didn't get rid of it because it is so deeply embedded.
Cheers,
