Totally agree, if you a meant to be staying at home, why do you need to attend a hairdresser? Surely people aren't that vain at a time like this?

Was just thinking along those lines.
Meanwhile I have my own first world problem.
All nail salons are closed - or should be.
Nails were due this week and they're too long
And no I can't cut them myself, and I'll be filing for weeks
I remember years ago the saying "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit!!"
Sorry but your comment seems personnel too..

Nics, I think the PM has made a big mistake leaving hairdressers open.
How is social distancing happening when they lean over you?
They have customers all day. Symptoms can take 48 hours to appear - sometimes no symptoms at all.
I wouldn't trust it, myself.
Thought you had lung problems? That makes you more vulnerable.
Hope you stay well, but, not a smart move IMO.

Simply - my thought on nails.
I have never had false - the nail is porous & breathes.
I do not ever wear polish - nails need to breath - like the rest of the body.
Shades of ' Goldfinger '.
I file - they are 1/4 of an inch past the bed - buff any ' ridges ' - buff - which gives the look of polished shiney nails - which they are - both hands & feet.
If a little ' coloured ' in Summer wearing open sandals - a special toothbrush & toothpaste - whitens the nails.
We are isolated - we have time to buff anything. lol

Dom, my nails are not false. They're mine.
They're long enough to 'breathe' from the other side.

Well, I'll need an angle grinder, or a dremel will do.
(I like painted nails)

Don't laugh but for really tough nails the fine sandpaper is much better than those flimsy emery boards.
I'm jealous, my nails have always been paper thin on my fingers but not the feet. .
I had the acrylic nails done for ages and loved them, but can't anymore.
