Ham. I Don't Think I'll Ever Eat It Again!

I don't know what posessed my to buy half a leg of ham this year, when wer'e only a 2 person household, and OH away on his fishing trip.

While he was away I lived on ham, snacked on it, had it in bread rolls, froze some of it.

Now finally, last night I cooked up the bone and will make some pea & ham soup for dinner and some to freeze.

I don't think I'll even be able to handle even the smell of it for a while!

Ham. I Don't Think I'll Ever Eat It Again!

voi·là
(vwä-lä)

interj.
Used to call attention to or express satisfaction with a thing shown or accomplished: Mix the ingredients, chill, andvoilà!a light, tasty dessert.

It actually means "there", "or there it is"
It's a peccadillo of mine to use viola instead of voila. I mispelled it once and the contradiction amused me so I've spelled it like that ever since.
Same with agapanthers instead of agapanthus

Those who fancy themselves erudite like to pull me up on it.

Hi 'nora and well done re finishing the ham!

It's no problem when you have family and friends to cater for over the Christmas and NY.

Why I bought one with just the 2 of us I don't know. Cat Sad
