Handy to know-how to make mask

If you cannot buy one, you can make one.  Apparently, in the USA even doctors use home made ones if they cannot get supply of the real thing.  Not the best, but better than nothing.

Handy to know-how to make mask

If there are masks designed to protect you, I'd buy a box, what's the matter with playing it safer something extra to have in your bag of tricks?

I'm all in

Signatures suck.

Say when venturing out to the shopping centre

Masks don't protect the wearer. They protect others from the wearer.

That is why the health authorities don't recommend that healthy people wear them.

This is what I've been hearing all along

But?...

But people are still stripping shelves of toilet paper, which there won't be any greater need of even if they catch it.

I long ago gave up trying to understand the intelligence, or lack thereof, of the average person.

Trying to be smart?

You play it your way, & i'll play it mine

And besides, i'm not one of these "hoarders"

These days - the ' average ' person is pretty bright.

Perhaps change your venues of entertainment. lol

Like all those stripping supermarket shelves so they can have 6 months supply of everything? Then going for a swim at a closed beach?

Joz was the one who asked 'but'. I simply repilied with my 'but'. Even though I hadn't implied one.

LOL - now you are going to have to define ' average '.

Not below - not above - but average.

Go.

Average, over a large population, is meaningless. There would be very few people right on the point.

Like IQs - 100 is supposed to be average, but I've never met anybody who would admit to having an IQ of 100. Everybody seems to consider themselves above average (including me), so I don't know where those dragging the numbers down are hiding. Western Sydney, maybe.

"These days - the ' average ' person is pretty bright".

In what ways though? Is the average person sensible, exercising good judgement, making healthy decisions, in touch with reality, and doing what is in their interests and the interests of others? I saw some average looking people on Bondi Beach, at parties, at shopping centres and in parks. They didn't look 'pretty bright' to me!

In hindsight, those who panicked and stocked up on toilet paper might have been the smart ones. At least they can now lock themselves away in the safety of their homes for many, many motions while others brave the supermarkets at their risk.
