Handy to know-how to make mask

If you cannot buy one, you can make one.  Apparently, in the USA even doctors use home made ones if they cannot get supply of the real thing.  Not the best, but better than nothing.

In what ways though? Is the average person sensible, exercising good judgement, making healthy decisions, in touch with reality, and doing what is in their interests and the interests of others? I saw some average looking people on Bondi Beach, at parties, at shopping centres and in parks. They didn't look 'pretty bright' to me!

Honestly - when it boils down to this stupid.

I'm out.

How many - bright people - are in fact - doing what is now considered - right.

The majority.

They are the reason - we are doing as well as we are.

Take care - stay well - it's up to you.

ive believed all the 'dont panic there is plenty' stories but ive stopped believing now

In hindsight, those who panicked and stocked up on toilet paper might have been the smart ones. At least they can now lock themselves away in the safety of their homes for many, many motions while others brave the supermarkets at their risk.

Trouble is that it is still a problem , and now soap is flying off the shelves , although I am starting to wonder whether there is profiteering going on as ownership of toilet paper should have been saturated by now.

I've been trying not to go out at all except to the supermarket, which has become the highlight of my week, but I'm scared to go there, and even though I'm terminally BORED (I'm used to going out everyday as well as out to dinner most nights), I'm not stupid and the fear and social responsibility are keeping me inside or out in the sun and fresh air FAR from anyone else.

What annoys me is that I HAVE to go to the supermarket every few days. I never hoarded, but over the weeks I've accumulated 50 toilet rolls. We've got some liquid soap but that'll run out in a month. We luckily can easily still get normal bars of soap (I think people believe that only anti-bacterial soap works. No logic there since this is a VIRUS, not a bacteria).

The issue is food. We have freezer stuff and tinned stuff, but it's the stuff that only lasts a few days (like fresh produce and refrigerated things like milk).

And then you've got the people walking all over the place, taking up a heap of space in the aisles, and almost walking into you! DON'T TOUCH ME, POTENTIAL INFECTOR!

You can blanch fresh vegetables which enables freezing without turning to muck upon thawing

Powered milk in reserve is prudent - an acquired taste but do not need much ( also quite pure as the evapouration process kills pathogens)

Canned soup can be infused with some added fresh vegetables or meat as per ingrediant list on label - dietary value adding on the cheap
