Hanson vs Palaschook

Pauline Hanson has demanded Queensland's Labor government reopen the state's borders by Thursday, or face legal action in the High Court.

The One Nation senator made the threat on Wednesday after accusing Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk of "destroying people's lives" and livelihoods, and branding the border closures unconstitutional.

Good ol' Pauline. She's a stayer and a fighter!

But you're all up in arms if your PM is told to shove a sock down you know where.

but icy, on the Alan Jones thread you posted (in part) this:

Jacinda Ardern was not named as the recipient of said "backhanders".

Nor did he say she should have a "sock shoved down her throat"

So which is it, he did or did not say she have a sock shoved down her throat? Or do you flip flop depending on which suits your position on a thread?

Yes it's the numbers that carry the weight of opinion, isn't it. If someone, just one person, introduces a different viewpoint, or a previously unknown or ignored fact, the numbers can easily silence it, if they don't want to see it. Numbers still don't mean they're right, though.

I think of Julian Assange.

Are you comparing yourself to Julian Assange? Personally, I think you are much more like Pauline Hanson.

People respond to what you write Icy. And unless it is your thread, where butter melts in your mouth, you frequently make provocative statements to get responses which you sometimes cry about. Hey, if you want to talk your talk, then do so, but be prepared to walk the walk. Accept responsibility.

i guess a marxist supporter like you sees nothing wrong with dan andrews, but he is a traitor to australia and a slugleech.

????

When I post on these boards I try hard not to give away my political leanings.  For the most part I think I succeed. I have posted content that some might feel marks me as a Labor supporter, and some that might mark me as a Liberal supporter. I challenge anyone to show, with evidence, my true political leanings.

How can my stance on politicians behaving badly by resorting to the use of disparaging, disrespectful, demeaning and insulting names based on a person’s actual name or personal characteristics make me a Marxist supporter?

Please provide the actual words in any of my posts that support your proposition. Please also provide external links to show that the post ‘evidence’ you provide does actually unmask me as a Marxist supporter.

The absence of any convincing supporting evidence would lead me to suggest that you are just speaking out of your supermussoliniass.

further to my previous post, and to counter your proposition that I see nothing wrong with Daniel Andrews, I have been critical of Daniel Andrews . . . just not on these forums.

The reason I haven’t been vocal against Daniel Andrews on these forums is that the things he does that I take umbridge with haven’t been the subject of threads here.

I live in Mildura in NW Victoria.  I have been critical of aspects of every Victorian government since I moved here in 1990.  There is a saying in Victoria that the government of the day only governs Victoria to the end of the tram tracks.

We have not been served well here in Mildura from Labor or Coalition governments.  I guess that is why we have had Independent representation as the ill feeling towards the major parties at a state level runs deep throughout the electorate.

Heaven help us if our pollies go down the Trump path of assigning disparaging nicknames to multiple political opponents.

There is a bit of this going on down here in Victoria at the moment.  A wannabe Liberal Party leader is taking every opportunity he can in tweets and interviews to use disparaging terms aimed at Premier Daniel Andrews.  I’m not going to list his ‘insults’ here as that would give them airtime they do not deserve.

When his leader was challenged about this MP’s insults he gave some lame excuse/explanation and said he wouldn’t tell him to stop (probably afraid it would weaken his hold on the leadership).

I came across one of his FB attack on Dan, and have to say that 90% of the comments basically told him to put sock in it.   I delighted in also telling him I am very pleased the way Dan Andrews is handling the situation, and what I think of his constant undermining of our government.

Name calling or modifying a person’s name to attack them or poke fun is a desperate ploy to deflect from the subject.

I don't believe it adds any credibiity to the author either
