Criticism of a current Prime Minister is not hate.

No it was while Bob Hawke was PM.
"In 1983, when Hawke became Prime Minister, Button became Minister for Industry and Commerce, a post he held until 1993. During this period Button carried through major changes in industry policy, lowering tariffs and reducing other forms of protectionism. This caused large job losses in manufacturing industry and provoked bitter opposition among Labor's trade union base."
The factory lingered on for a while but finally closed in 2000. When John Howard was PM.

Hi everyone, the discussion is getting a little heated. Please be sure to keep your communications civil. Thanks!

Will be in the same auditorium with him today at 2pm. (and little Johnny) It will be interesting regarding the pecking
order re the funeral cortege down Wallace Street to the main Street of Macksville Cooper Street AKA the M1 or the
pacific highway.( it is tradition to allow the cortege to pass by the business precinct and for the shops to close their doors
with any staff still working to stand out the front as a mark of respect for the family.)
When everything calms down is when duck and Ginny will most need support. I must put it on my list of things to ask
them of what transpired
The locals have had the circling media "vultures" up to the ears.
In 1965 the same type of thing happened in Macksville when Farnk Partridge a local VC recipient (and pack a box star)
died.... The pollies got pushed to the back.
A pic from my personal collection of Franks funeral cortege making it's way down Wallace Street which was then the
Pacific highway...
I wonder whether channel 9 has ever heard of the word cortege?? procession sounds so disrespectful
approximately 2500 people attended Frank's funeral
If he goes to the wake he will definitely need a crash helmet
