I gave you clear examples of how the carbon pricing system has ALREADY worked in Australia.  How can you claim it's not working when the evidence is right in front of you?

its not about party allegiance, i dont care how many got it wrong. i'm mostly a labor voter, but i am happy to admit the greens are the only party close to getting this issue right. that post is the same as saying 'if colin and tone aren't bothered either am i' which strikes me as moronic. as a mostly labor voter i would also add that i think labor haven't persued the issue sufficiently either.

I'd be really happy if you actually did .

I  have children and grandchildren and I do think we can all make a difference..whether it's a positive or negative one is up to each of us.... what each of us do will impact on other people.I think it's selfish not to make an effort to do the right thing.

Hawk, I view people and big business polluting our environment the same way you do someone thoughtlessly throwing rubbish out their car window....only it's far more serious imo.

what I am saying is the whole system is corrupt and we are all being conned.

  They are as in our Government telling us we need to do more and charging a carbon tax yet are allowing practices like those mentioned to go on without doing any thing to stamp it out because it happens where no one can see it.

It would be so simple to make sure every thing going out of this country as scrap has to be processed to some standard or it doesn't get shipped.

But it doesn't suit them to actually do something to prevent mass pollution and environment vandalism as long as they can rip us off.

Back yard burning has been banned in SA for 30 years in residential areas now and areas like I am in where we can burn we can only burn things like branches and twigs to reduce fire risks, things like plastic and rubber are totally banned

Do you want to be able to burn things other than branches and twigs ?

OK so we have reduced CO2 by a whopping 6% I did see somewhere that Australia's output is a tad over 1% of the worlds CO2 output I think that's works out to about .0006 of a % 

and what you are missing totally is the fact that if every bit of CO2 output was ceased today it will take 200years for the levels to begin to return to normal and the effects will continue from the damage already done.

there is still some hope, I did see a segment on the doctors today where they were talking about genetically modifying viruses, they may develop some mutant virus that wipes most of us off this earth and returning a balance.
