Cue they are only interested in what they can get out of it for themselves and dont really care about whats best for the country or the people, they have no long term plans because they know they are not going to be around long enough to actually do anything.
Its all about short term gains and will tell any lie to get the votes and hope the voters have short memories or aren't smart enough to work out whats going on or are too busy working at multiple part time jobs for minimum wage largely thanks to Tony

Hey donna, I see your fan club is back.....10 in 1....lucky you eh?
Hawk have you ever heard of Plutocracy? Basically it doesn't matter who gets into power because both sides serve the rich. e.g. when Juliar started we had 5 strictly regulated uranium mines...now we have 24. Don't worry about two decades of protest against proliferation eh?...anything for a buck as long as the Aussie people never see a cent of it......ALP are so right wing and elitist these days, they might as well be the left wing of the LNP.
Many learned people warned against Plutocracy....=not a new concept by any means. The rich have always had more power than us, to purchase advantages we couldn't imagine.
The word plutocracy is almost always used as a pejorative to describe or warn against an undesirable condition, and throughout history political thinkers such as Winston Churchill, 19th-century French sociologist and historian Alexis de Tocqueville and 19th-century Spanish monarchist Juan Donoso Cortés have condemned those they characterize as plutocrats for ignoring their social responsibilities to the poor, using their power to serve their own purposes and thereby incre...class conflict, and corrupting their societies with greed and hedonism
The way it plays out is via the concept of Socialism for the Rich and Capitalism for the poor. i.e. when the Govt gives us money it's called a handout....when they give the rich money it's not called a handout, even though it is. When it's the rich doing the Oliver Twist, it's called 'Corporate Welfare', via taxpayer funded stimulus, tax concessions, free for all on our mineral resources etc etc etc.
We no longer live in a democracy...it died along with Whitlam's aspirations for Australia and our Nations rightful wealth.

no you missed the point again, I said the tax was a con because its not going to change a thing. OK you got a .0006% saving :^O
It would need to be pulled back to the levels emitted during the 1950s to even start to help and that's not going to happen now is it.

Plenty more coal where that came from and 87% of the profit going offshore....under Julia, under Tony.....doesn't matter.....anything for a buck.
Has anyone been watching the stories on 'fracking'? scary stuff.....but it must be OK, cause it's anything for a buck - Lib, Labor.....take your pick....wish we didn't have to. I wanna vote NOT INTERESTED IN THE RAPE OF OUR COUNTRY party.
