Have you bullied a vegan lately?

Vegetarians, vegans 'hated and bullied in Australia', author says

Vegetarians are bullied and hated in Australia and our culture is caught in a cycle of overreliance on meat, self-confessed meat-lover and writer Richard Cornish says.

Cornish conducted a year-long social experiment in vegetarianism after recognising he had a bit of a problem.

When driving home with a shoulder of lamb for his family one day, he was overcome with the smell of the meat and decided to pull over and eat it on the side of the road.

"I found myself face-planted in a shoulder of lamb on the bonnet of my car," he told ABC News Breakfast.

Mr Cornish sounds as if he would make a very interesting dinner party guest.

My experience only confirms what Mr Cornish is alleging. Just the other day I caught the T62 bus from Parramatta to Westmead and I was shocked to hear the bus driver bellow: "All vegans to the rear of the bus please".

I want PETA to change their name; it's embarrassing.

Yes, it is. One of my husbands daughters is named PETA after his name Peter.

Whenever he mentions that he will ring Peta, he gets funny looks. I had to explain to him why.

It should be PITA for pain in the A$$

PETA (as in all capitals, not the girl's name) are nothing but a terrorist organisation. They should be abolished before they destroy everything. Originally their intentions were good but they are way out of control now. Several years ago (can't remember where), some kangaroos were having some kind of fertility study done. It was all above board and no animals were supposed to be harmed. The roos were penned and sedated and the study's were done, and they would be released or relocated after the sedation had worn off.

PETA got wind of it and thought there was some underhanded cruelty operation happening so intervened. While the sedated roos were recovering, PETA went and let them all out. Some were still heavily sedated and very disorientated. A lot were subsequently killed on the road. PETA blamed the researchers. Funny thing was, they were picketing and having BBQ's while wearing leather hats, leather belts and leather shoes.

What most of their supporters don't realise is, 99.9% of the animals they "rescue" are destroyed by them. They don't believe any animal should be kept in captivity and that includes our pets. Therefore, they have no other option than to kill them. They say they were going to die anyway but in a lot of instances, that is not the case.

They spew hatred and spew lies, which sucks celebrities in (although plenty find out what they're really like and tell them to stick it). They very nearly destroyed the entire wool industry in Australia with their lies. They have to be stopped.
