He also has diagnosed ADHD and bi polar.
I've seen him perform live a few times and he makes fun of himself a lot.

As a Brit, a few comments:
>> #3: Their election is only a few weeks away I think...
It's next Thursday, May 7th. It's going to be a very close run thing, and the betting is on a hung parliament with Labour forming a minority government - but anything could happen. Voting closes 10.00pm UK time (7:00 am Sydney time).
Re The Sun newspaper, whatever your opinion about its ownership, it's the best selling UK newspaper, although all print newspapers are losing circulation to the internet:

Re Mr. Brand, he is not my cup of tea, but he seems to have a following, so Mr. Miliband has no doubt calculated that it would be to his advantage to do that interview. We shall see.

Oh my, I wish Russell Brand had interviewed this turkey.
Was he standing for election or auditioning for a remake of Love thy neighbour?
Robert Blay, who is standing in North East Hampshire, made the shocking threat of violence against Conservative Ranil Jayawardena.
Former bank accountant Blay, 55, who used to be a member of the Conservative Party, told our reporter that Jayawardena had been tipped to potentially be the country’s first British Asian Prime Minister.
And in a vile and shocking outburst, he raged: “If he is I will personally put a bullet between his eyes.
"If this lad turns up to be our Prime Minister I will personally put a bullet in him. That’s how strong I feel about it.
“I won’t have this f***** as our Prime Minister. I absolutely loathe him.”
The shocking remarks were made to a Daily Mirror investigator at a public meeting on Saturday attended by party leader Nigel Farage.
A UKIP spokesman said tonight: “"Mr Blay has been suspended with immediate effect".

What could have happened to make the polls turn so sharply in the UK?
on 08-05-2015 08:49 PM
Yep Icy, Labour totally trounced, and Milliband expected to resign today at some point. This despite the polls being neck-and-neck throughout the last six weeks.
Also just gave in their notice are Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrats) and Nigel Farage (UKIP). Disappointed in the latter. Very charismatic, a brilliant and forceful speaker, and the only one Hell bent on doing something about immigration, and removing us from the EU fiasco.
I have just turned the TV off. Can't bear to look at the smug, condescending and bloated face, of the Bullingdon Boy. *eurgh*

Brand, a well known socialist and agitator. he's more well known as a comedian isn't he?
perhaps he's just a 'fed up' comedian
more like a 'washed up" comedian

>> #36: Nigel Farage (UKIP)... Very charismatic, a brilliant and forceful speaker, and the only one Hell bent on doing something about immigration, and removing us from the EU fiasco...
Totally agree. UKIP got around 13% of the votes, and ended up with only one seat in Parliament - while the Scottish National Party (SNP) got around 5% of the votes, and ended up with 56 seats!... Something wrong somewhere.
However, paradoxically the way these figures have turned out may be a better result for actually getting us out of the wretched European Union, as it increases the leverage of the large group of Conservative MPs who are eurosceptic, and who would now be able to blackmail Cameron on this matter approaching the scheduled EU in/out referendum in 1916/17:
>> David Cameron's re-election as Britain's prime minister increases the risk that the UK will quit the European Union (EU)... the Conservative leader may not have done well enough to ignore eurosceptics in his own party. These will try to push him to make impossible demands in the planned negotiation with the EU knowing that, if he then fails to get what he has asked for, it will be harder to argue that Britain should stay in the Union. What's more, the UK Independence Party, which wants to take Britain out of the EU, secured roughly one-in-eight (12.5%) of all votes - even though they ended up with hardly any parliamentarians because of the way the electoral system works...

Yes BB, that's what happens with our totally insane voting system of first past the post. Were it Proportional Representation (PR), things would be different. By the way, Nigel Farage has just stated that when the party leadership election comes up in September, he may put his name forward. Fingers crossed on that one. If that fat Scottish windbag Alex Salmond can claim more comebacks than Frank Sinatra, then surely Nigel is allowed one
Anyway, enough about our governmental woes. I suspect the Australians have got their own troubles to contend with, without foisting ours upon them.
One more thing just before I leave:
'More like a 'washed up" comedian'.
Icy, please desist from referring to Brand as a 'comedian'. You could level many adjectives in his direction, but being funny isn't one of them. In fact the only thing funny about him, is his appearance. On the comedic front, about as funny as a burning orphanage.

Labor are infested with this type of leftist guardianistas and chattering classes who don't have a clue about the real people. They are stunned that their "work" didn't deliver them a victory and are crying "oh why are people so stupid"?
We have the same blind leftist twitterati and media here in this country, this must send a shudder through them and the ABC, "what happened? OMG does this mean Abbott will not be a oncer after all our work to destroy him.?.
