Dont worry, each child can be different, doing things at different stages.
One of my boys had afew other probs along with speaking,he turned out to have Dyspraxia, knowing this a friend asked about her grandson who at 2 was not talking but grunting.
I did tell them to take him to a speech therapist, they chose not to.Now at 3 he talks non stop, very well too.
Put your mind at ease & have him seen,he may very well just be a late talker.

We get "Where are you going? I come?" "Where's Gandad going" "Where's Nanny going?"
She could do with less talking half the time

I remember one day I was so sick of hearing why mummy, why mummy, I said why do you always ask WHY, the reply was - If I don't ask why, I won't learn. That why boy is now a very successful man with a very profitable online business.

He stands in front of us and makes a noise that he must think is talking.
I try to get him to say a simple word, like ball, and what he says is not ever close to ball
I haven't read the whole thread so I am sure someone else has already said this. In case not, I think the answer is simply that he has older siblings doing enough talking that he doesn't need to. It's not unusual.
