The Bible says they are the same person. No, it doesn't - show me!
It is CLEAR that many people saw YHWH in the flesh. No, they didn't - show me.
He was referred to as an "angel of the Lord" - Where? Show me.
He was the Word in the flesh as was Jesus. - show me.
The JW and muslims and mormons all seem to think that YHWH is the Spirit when clearly He was the Word.
If He was the Word then He and Jesus are one and the same.
I thought ALL Christians say God is a Spirit - what makes you think he is other than a spirit?
So Clive you think God had a son and they sit in Heaven and do what?Play chess all day as fathers and sons do?
- now you are being very disrespectful to God and to Jesus -I cannot believe that you actually wrote that.
The Bible says YHWH and Jesus are the same person. - show me.
That The Father and Jesus are the same person. That is what the Bible says you just do not understand it.
It's all very well for you to say "The Bible says ..." - but, show me where - explain it to me.

Clive, the Bible says no one has seen the Father.Do you agree with that?Yes or no.Then we can answer your questions. But if you are prepaed only to put your slant on the Bible (A JW slant) and interpret it away from what it says then what is the point of showing you?
So the Bible says no one has seen the Father at any time except Jesus.Do you accept that or deny that?

The Bible says that no man has seen God.

At the Council of Nicea in 325 AD, . . . A priest named Arius presented his argument that Jesus Christ was not an eternal being, that He was created at a certain point in time by the Father. Bishops such as Alexander and the deacon Athanasius argued the opposite position: that Jesus Christ is eternal, just like the Father is. It was an argument pitting trinitarianism against monarchianism.
The Roman emperor Constantine, prodded the 300 bishops in the council to make a decision by majority vote defining who Jesus Christ is. The statement of doctrine they produced was one that all of Christianity would follow and obey, called the โNicene Creed.โ This creed was upheld by the church and enforced by the Emperor. The bishops at Nicea voted to make the full deity of Christ the accepted position of the church. The Council of Nicea upheld the doctrine of Christโs true divinity, rejecting Ariusโs heresy.
I think this makes Jesus the only democratically elected god in history. ๐

Ok Clive so you accept that no man has seen The Father.
Explain to me,(and I know you will place a slant on it) how was it that Abraham,Job Jacob among others all saw YHWH?

Read your history regarding the Council of Nicea. You will find that I am correct. ๐

By the way, bobbelgra, I don't believe in any of the religious doctrines. But the Council of Nicea 325 AD is well-recorded History.
the Bible is not history; it is theology. ๐
