It's this - do you have, anywhere in your country, a monument to the man who released rabbits into Australia? And, if so, what does it look like, and what does it say???
I've tried to find one, but I've had no luck.

Hi Bob,
contrary to all reports, you don't have to be crazy to post here, but it certainly helps 🙂

And why on earth would we have a monument to someone who
released a plague into a country?

G'day Bob.
Rabbits were introduced at the time of the First Fleet so no one person has the 'honour' of having a statue of themselves as being the first to bring rabbits into Australia.
However I did find this reference in wiki:
"The current infestation appears to have originated with the release of 24 wild rabbits by Thomas Austin for hunting purposes in October 1859, on his property, Barwon Park, near Winchelsea, Victoria."
I would say someone is having a lend of you re the statue.
