Help!!! Domestic question???

I bought new (expensive) sheets and have given them 2 washes as they are charcoal colour and I could see colour running out.
Just making my bed, looking forward to sleeping in new bedding *sigh* and my hands are stained from the tucking & smoothing out!!!

Yikes, how much washing should I do, or is there something I can add that will help with the colour?! So annoying ๐Ÿ˜ž

Thanks in advance to those who answer, I will be back once the toddler is fed, bathed & in bed. ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: Help!!! Domestic question???

Kylie - I bought these sheets about a year ago. They were really good. No chemicals. Mind you I paid quite a bit more for mine but they are on special at the moment.

Generally I buy sateen sheets when I am not sure of the quality. Cause then I can be guaranteed they will be cotton (and you should only ever sleep on cotton) and if they are sateen then the feel of the fibres will always feel smooth even if the sheets are thick.

Also I only ever buy bottom fitted sheets new. All my top sheets are vintage

รฝes, I think it's a worry too Kylie. I thought we had better restrictions on what comes in than we actually have.

I'd always thought we were safe here in Aus. but not nessessarily so it seems
