I want to buy one, i'm confused about the safety aspect regarding the claims of PFOA- or PTFE-free ceramic interior.
I would appreciate recommendations, they vary so much in price, do you have one and are you happy with your's?

As luck would have it I am an expert - PTFE and PFOA are toxins that escape with teflon coatings when they reach a certain temperature and release more when they are well used.
Ceramic/greblon/aqualine coated are PTFE and PFOA free are perfect for use and you don't need to spend a fortune if you shop around. Most do not require oils or butter etc and a easy to clean.
Don't be talked into scanpan - trust me, and also be wary of marble, it is fantastic cookware and I love it, but most marble cookware is not PTFE/PFOA free. If it is it will be clearly marked on the packaging.
Oh thanks for this info, do you have any recommendations?

Lucky you freddie I can't lose an ounce.
Been minding my grandaughter all week while my daughter was in hospital so no walking.
The minding went well too she swallowed a coin and I had to search her nappy every day I think the coin is waiting for interest before it appears. lol

I'm a little confused about the safety of the non stick teflon Punch, the more I read about the different brands the more confused I become LOL.

I read up about teflon and it seems to only be dangerous at very high heats, higher than normal cooking with food in a pan. Leaving a pan on the flame with no contents is not great though, it would get pretty hot then.
The aluminium was more of a concern for me with the Anolon. The bases had lost all their coating in the dishwasher and the scratches had exposed the aluminium on the inside as well.
Problem nowadays is you just dont know whats safe and whats not, some of the stuff you read about the dangers is true and some is just scaremongering.....working out which is which is the trouble.
