Australia is lagging behind Cannabis legislation
Although industrial hemp is legally grown under licence in all states, we remain the only nation that prohibits the consumption of hemp seed for humans. Hemp seed oil is an extremely healthy food oil, as well as skin oil.
Hemp seed whole, hulled or crushed for oil are used in food products such as muesli bars, cakes, breads, biscuits, butter paste, non-dairy milk, tofu and cheese, ice cream, the essential and cold pressed oils are used in cosmetics (such as shampoo, soaps and moisturisers), as well as having therapeutic qualities similar to evening primrose oil, cod liver oil, flaxseed oil and soybean supplements.
The omega-6:omega-3 ratio of hemp seed is considered optimal for human nutrition. Because of hemp’s high seed yield, and the seeds high oil content, it has been used throughout the millennia in paints, varnishes, and as a lighting fuel.
Pending decision on hemp seed food in Australia: Ministers have sought a review on the proposed standard for low THC hemp as a food. Ministers have agreed to seek advice from the Standing Council on Police and Emergency Services.
HEMP Party Submission: The HEMP Party submission to the NSW Inquiry into the use of Cannabis for medical purposes is available on the State Government website.

Agree with you supernova, and Hawk too xx

The difference is only the amount of THC contained in industrial hemp as compare to the indica strains that are more often grown as hydroponic crops
Mullaways medical cannabis site has comparisins of their tincture as compared to Sativex.
I agree that industrial hemp should not be tarred with the same brush as recreational hemp or it's use... but the fact is at the
moment the law does not differentiate.
check out the hemp foods Australia website for more information. Click on the attachment in the opening post to see the countries in
the world where it is ilegal to eat or sell Hemp/Hemp seed as food.

A person --- That's the whole point. I have seen first hand the positive effects that marijuana smoking has had on one person. But neither of these two people are indicative of the millions of people in this country who use or have used this substance.

I have seen some terrible effects from marijuana use - including my dil's sister.
The sad part about it is the people that smoke it and are effected dont even know how they look to normal people, they dont call it DOPE for no reason

I haven't read all of this, because, well because I have the attention span of a gnat and couldn't be bothered BUT I do want to say
about two weeks ago I visited an industrial hemp farm and munched on some hemp seeds. They were delicious, and have all sorts of health benefits.
Today we had 8 tonne of hemp fibre that we were experimenting with. Have a look for Carroll Cotton on facebook if you're interested.
