I fear for our Muslim/Australian community this Australia Day.  I think with all the fear and ignorance that's been circulating this past year, including some disgraceful posts on this discussion board, that we might be in for a violent day.   I sincerely hope that the voice and actions of moderation and inclusiveness will win over the bigoted and ignorant ones.

Mostly unemployed hoons and ignorant imbeciles will be the posters of hate-mail. Best to ignore them and not give fuel to the fire by answering or trying to explain.

Erica I know 3 ex poms who are highly educated and in good jobs that do this kind of thing.  It makes me feel sad for them, they were happy to be able to come here for a better life (they were part of the 10 quid pom thing) but are not happy for other immigrants to come.  

They **bleep** and moan about immigrants being on welfare say they should get a job blah blah but when they do get jobs or start up a successfully business they **bleep** and moan about that as well.

Good on you all for supporting this business.

How would next Tuesday (Feb 3rd) suit you? You pick the time.  It doesn't look like anyone else from here will be able to make it, but I have a RL friend who says she'd like to come. I don't think I want a meal - the menu looks a bit too spicy for my taste - but coffee and a cake would be nice.
