Just thought I would pop in and say hi and maybe ask a couple of questions.
My youngest daughter is having her 13th at the end of the month. She is having a supervised party at home with NO ALCOHOL or SMOKING. Her decorations are all glow in the dark and neon. We are working out the music for the night, but she isn't sure whether to organise games or not. She know that pass the parcel etc won't cut it and neither will pin the tail. I suggested that they would just like to party amongst themselves.
We will be providing a large kind sized white sheet and neon paints for the kids to take their turns leaving their signature / memory...I warned her it will be mostly guys drawing wishfully thinking or swear words. She doesn't care. "They're just the ones I'll ignore Mum."
Missy is a straighty 180 Church Girl, who is a JMEL Leader, was offered a scholarship to travel to Japan. She doesn't exactly hang with the "Cool Crowd" thankyou Lord. She doesn't hang with the nerds either. In her entire year there are really only 4 people she doesn't get along with...and nobody does (they have spent more time suspended than not.
What do you suggest REASONABLY for the party. There is going to be at least 6 adults present. She is inviting 50 kids but we are expecting 30. It is in our backyard and no-one will enter the house without an adult.. There will be an adult on the entry gate and the numbered invite will be maked off as they enter the party.
Can anyone suggest what the kids might like to do at the party ? All I remember from my 13th was spin the bottle, smoking at the park, truth or dare and just girls dancing and boys watching awkwardly lol.
Any suggestions are welcome !!!

Wow Trish! My 13yo just had a pool party. I cant really relate to the adult on the entry gate thing and marking off names???
For that age, if you're having it in your backyard, I would suggest just good music and food. A DJ would be good, taking care of all the entertainment.
Happy Birthday Miss almost 13

Hi Meep,
At Miss now 16's, 13th, we had a few kids and older teens try to gatecrash. Also Miss knows a few people from school who would love nothing better than to try to cause trouble and get others to turn up...and having a few adult guys here will help to prevent that. I guess it is a case of better prepared than not.
We had a jukebox for Miss 16's 13th, but this time we are just putting on the music on a flashdrive and will play it from that...trying to save money as things are tight.
Thanks for your ideas Meep.
