What a handsome doggie.

Hope he and Rosie get on well together.

Charlie doesn't know just yet how lucky he is.

You're looking well David.

Hi, my names Charlie, Ex- Racing greyhound

Heโ€™s a beautiful dog indeed. The lineaments, his coat, his face - full of strength and fineness.

This is the start of his best story.

Oh David you must have made him feel so at home and safe ๐Ÿ˜Š

How does Rosie feel about that - looks like she is eyeing him off on your bed? ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi, my names Charlie, Ex- Racing greyhound

Charlie's not stupid - pick out the biggest softest thing and claim it.

Rosie doesn't look very impressed.

Looks like the little grey square thing on the floor is now your bed David  ๐Ÿคฃ

Hi, my names Charlie, Ex- Racing greyhound

well, we have had quite a week

involved in a dog attack

charlie is fine and so am i

we were doing our morning walk on tuesday when the incident happened

where i live there are many people with dogs, not all are responsible

there is a man who lives on the next road over from me who has 2 dogs who are really poorly trained, he is often out being dragged by them on their walks while they bark constantly at anything that moves, other dogs in particular

so i avoid him as best as i can

on tuesday we were not far from home, when i saw this man coming towards us, i made sure we were going to pass with a good 30 meters between us, his dogs were going nuts and he was struggling to keep hold of them

when we were just about past them i suddenly heard him yelling at his dogs, i turned to see one of the dogs off leash runnung full speed across a road and maybe 20 meters of lawn to get to me and charlie.

i stood perfectly still and so did charlie, charlie was so calm while this dog went crazy lunging at him and barking while its owner yelled at it to no effect at all.

when he reached us and was attempting to get a hold of the loose dog of course the not lose dog was right there also going nuts

at some point i said to him 'these are some really well trained dogs' at which point he turned on me with foul words

and as he walked off he said i was a retard who had no idea

to which i said 'oh yes i can see how your well trained dogs behave when off leash'

he went even more nuts, yells at me 'you dont know me or what im capable of, i know where you live, i will kill you!'

then he walked up to me and knocked my hat off!

as he walked away i called him an idiot

he repeated the kill threat several times then stomped off swearing and making the one finger thing

i called the police and made a report, then went to the council and made a formal complaint, i had by this time gotten his name and address

the animal control guy called me yesterday afternoon to get me version first hand and without saying he told me enough they already knew of this man and his dogs

they will be paying him a visit

if i get any updates i will tell those here who are interested in charlies story
