i'm just doing online registration
and i have some papers to fill out to send off to get his free from muzzle card, it will prolly take a couple of weeks
once i have the card i can take him out without the muzzle.
i think i sweated off a kilo today worrying
the test was really good, he breezed it.
i sweated it!

i bought him a new winter coat as a 'well done Leroy' prezzie
the test went like this
i lead him into an enclosed area of about 20 square metres
there is 2 women in there, one takes Leroy from me whist the other asks me a few questions about him and what i have been doing with him and has there been any problems.
then she goes over to leroy and runs her hands all over him, lifts his legs, feels his feet, handles his face and hugs him quite tightly.
he shows no problems at all
then they offer him food from the hand,
hes not interested.
it took a few days for him to take treats from me by hand
even now hes so gentle, no grabbing and running off, just takes it so gently then walks to his bed to eat it.
then the big test, they bring a peanut in (really small dog) and see if he has any bad reactions
he was so uninterested, saw it, sniffed it once, went 'nup, dont care'
they take the muzzle of and make them get really close together and he takes no notice, the little dog might as well be a brick on a string.
he passes!
if ever i should have to do this again now i would be so much more relaxed about it.
i had visions of them brining in a little yappy hyped dog who would give leroy a good yelling at, like some we have allready met on our walks.
i mean this was a test for his reaction so thats what i had in my mind.
so i have paid my $100 adoption fee, got all his paperwork, vaxinations, desexing and muzzle exemtion application.
hes 100% part of the family now.
i just need to take 1 good picture of his head showing the green collar and email the paperwork and photo to the cat and dog managment people and in a week or two will get a thing that looks like a drivers lisence saying he is ok in public without the muzzle.
