Fascinating. I wonder if all vets know these differences and take them into account when treating these breeds?
Sadly, they do not. Many people lose their sighthounds because the vet did not know they need special dose of anesthetist. There are sighthound specialists; just ask around where do the greyhound owners go.

Especially the big smoochie guy following him around all day, and giving treats 200 times a day.
His coat is gloriously shiny and healthy looking.
I had no idea that Leroy was that
cheapinexpensive to get. And with all the bells and whistles. He really is a bargain.
And great companionship for you both.
he didnt cost me $150
that is for if you just adopt , off the shelf if you like lol
no, as i took him untried and did the 'fostering' myself i only paid $100
on top of that i got a big bag of dry food plus 2 kilos of minced roo to get him started.
they really are a super bargain.
i noticed not long ago the RSPCA had lowered their prices too, cant remember how much but it was a huge drop and they were rehoming cats and dogs really fast.
i'm not sure what you get other than the cat or dog thru them.
Kind of sad we're killing our native wildlife to feed an introduced species...
Yeah, yeah, I know...'roos proliferate...etc...
No reflection on Leroy...glad to see you're both happy with each other, David.

Gold Coast man and his stubborn golden retriever go viral — again — in hilarious video

i know just how he feels
if leroy decides he either doesnt want to walk on any further or just plain stops its game over
you cant argue with him or coax him, its turn around and get home asap for him
its usually a fright instigated like the sound of kids yelling somewhere nearby
'i dont like that dad, i wont go any further, lets go home, ok?'
