I've actually been feeling sad for Joe.If reports are true, it must be really hard for him.His words have been from the heart imo.
Several sources have described harrowing scenes on Christmas Island last month when Immigration officers forced two unaccompanied Sri Lankan children aged 12 and 14 on to a plane to return home. They were part of a group of 84 Tamils who had arrived on the Coco Islands after 34 days at sea and within 48 hours were put on a plane and sent back to Colombo.

I will never ever support a people swap where you can send a 13-year-old child unaccompanied to a country without supervision. Never. It'll be over my dead body.

I have spoken to many farmers that did not want to have the farms made answerable to American companies....
They did not trust that they would look after Aussie farmers over American ones...
I think the farmers are justified in their concerns. I think this is a good choice. All those that live in big cities and feel that a foreign country would do a better job that an Aussie one maybe needs to go and speak to a farmer.
I know there was some farmers that wanted the deal to go ahead but I am yet to meet one.
