Have you ever had a car that you now wish you'd kept? I got my driver's license during the heyday of muscle cars, when GM. Ford, and Chrysler were in a battle for the hearts and souls of young drivers, aided by songs like,

After a few "almost good enough" rides, I finally got my hands on my dream car.......a '65 Malibu SS with an L79 327.

Very cool ride!
I've had some cool cars but as you say I wish I still had them.
I had a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with a built 351, 4 speed and traction lock...and just about every option from the factory that was available. I restored it from the ground up, striped the body to bare metal and used either mint used parts and NOS chrome, weather stripping, etc. I sold it sometime ago...Now it's worth big bucks, that figures!
The sad thing is, besides a few blurry polaroid photos, I have no images of it.

In 1965 my my mate Des had a shiny new EH S4 stationwagon... In 2013/14 I helped him rebuild a shiny red EH
stationwagon with X2 running gear, (double strombergs and headers) a HR disc front end, 5 speed celica gearbox, 186
bored to 189 with forged acl race pistons, blueprinted and balanced, 30/70 cam, solids with roller rockers, electronic
ignition, integrated air conditioning....not quite finished but definitely getting closer....
