"You have just received the digital copies of your wedding photos from the photographer. You're eager to upload them to Facebook for all to see."
Why on earth would you want to do that?
PS, still photographs do not consume a lot of bandwidth
DY I guess you are not technically minded. It might be nice to have a freeway passing your house, but do you have a Ferrari?.
I see Conroy's recent auction of spectrum fell short by a $ 1billion, look it up!

I upload mine to share with family and friends.
Still photos can easily consume your bandwidth. Maybe your old camera is not high resolution but mine is. Last lot of photos I emailed someone was 2.2Gb. Over the course of a week I upload about 8Gb in photos alone.

DY: "Toilet rolls with string attached. I remember those."
As I said above DY, you are not technically minded.
"A tin can telephone is a type of acoustic (non-electrical) speech-transmitting device made up of two tin cans, paper cups or similarly shaped items attached to either end of a taut string or wire."
It requires a diaphragm to convert acoustic energy into mechanical energy, and then to reverse the process.
Toilet rolls, well your process might involve those!
