How RUDE

Got ready early this morning so i could drop the kids at school and head to Westfield before it got too hot.

Got a great park at the shops.

Got everything done that i needed to and when i get back to my car, some ratbag has parked in a non car spot right behind me, blocking me in.

I rummage through my bag looking for a pen to write down her licence plate so i can report her to westfield. No pen.

I look for my phone, find it. Phone is not charged (nothing unusual for me).

So i stand and wait and wait and wait and just as im about to leave and go find center management, this lady runs to the car yelling "Sorry Sorry".
I say "You are a rude, inconsiderate *female dog*. I was just about to go report you. This is not a car park and your selfishness has kept me waiting here with my baby."

She says "I was only 5 minutes".

I say "Actually, it has been 9 minutes since i got here, so who knows how long you were before that".

She then gets in the car and drives off.
X-(  some people are so inconsiderate and rude.

And there were plenty of other car spaces left that she could have parked in

Re: How RUDE

the "child" is under 2 years old and doesnt even talk yet.

This woman didnt make an error in judgement, she knew what she was doing. She just hoped that she could get away with it.

And she may have if i had stayed in the shops a little longer.

But geez, what if everyone just decided to park where ever they wanted and block people in. Dont bother with the actual empty car spaces, just park in the driveways right behind other cars.

Wouldnt the world be a happy friendly place then

Re: How RUDE

I don't blame dd for that reaction -   waiting like that with her baby and it was probably

hot causes huge stress not knowing when the driver is coming back.  She was badly

provoked and under those circumstances a swear word can easily slip out.

That woman was selfish and thoughtless and if some aggro hoon had been in

dd's shoes she might have got a lot worse.

I usually say something, it is only human to do so, in this day and age.

It is folly to judge others by the way one behaves themselves and to blame it on 'this day and age' is no justification for this sort of behaviour.  It just excuses the behaviour of both the woman who parked without thought for others and the rude response it elicited.

Neither are acceptable in my opinion.

Re: How RUDE

I think, what i said to her was blunt and to the point and will make her think otherwise about doing this again.

Im am sure she will consider that, had she done this to someone with a bad temper, things could have gotten worse.

I would like to hear what those who disagree with what i said would have done in this situation.

Re: How RUDE

i think some are a little precious. i wouldn't have used the word dog as there are perfectly suitable cuss-words for idots like the person who parked behind DDB. swearing is the norm anyway.. often people dont swear in front of the children simply for the sake of appearances in case the child says it out of turn somewhere and embarrasses the parent.. it makes them look bad.. which is the real concern for them.

Re: How RUDE

i wonder how many would of just said, after she yelled "sorry' at them,...."thats ok, dont worry about it"

Im sure that would of really made her think twice before doing it again to someone else

Re: How RUDE

On Christmas Eve in 1999 in a packed carpark I was screamed at by a guy in a packed car (3 kids that looked under 8 in the back seat and a child I knew was 11yo in the front seat). I was called a "fat lazy, M F C" for daring to park in a Disabled Car Park Spot. I had a permit, I was recovering from 2 fractures and 2 ruptured discs and whilst I could walk, I could only walk a very short distance and in alot of pain. This guy assumed coz I could walk I was "rorting" or whatever. I simply waved and wished him a Merry Christmas and said to him "Nice behaviour in front of kids". To which he told me to go "F myself".

I understand your annoyance Amy. However, would you accept the excuse from your children if they chose to name call out of annoyance ? I think that is what people are saying.

And yes I am a hypocrite...I have been know to shoot off my mouth, but mostly under my breath.
